To manifest this purpose, we seek the nature of the mist.

We are Protean. Like mist settling into the hollows of a landscape, we discern the quiet needs of our community, and take the shape required to fill them.

We are Ethereal. To love the world is to see its beauty. Animated by this spirit, we tread lightly. We choose tools that are sustainable, that we might leave no heavy burden on the world we inhabit.

यस्तु सर्वाणि भूतान्यात्मन्येवानुपश्यति ।

We are Open. Mist has no walls; it does not separate the traveler from the path. We build in the Open Source, that all may share in the work.

Our emblem is the Desert Lily blooming in the Night.

The Night is the Truth—the deep reality that exists before the light.
The Lily is Resilience and Beauty—the patience to wait, and the depth to bloom.
